ATTENTION:  All currently certified officers!  Because of changes in the law and new DSHS policies, any and all continuing education hours on record went to zero on June 30, 2008.  No submitted hours or any hours collected prior to June 30, 2008 are any longer eligible for use to renew your certification.  People that are currently certified with TACA will have a new expiration date of June 30, 2011.  That is three years in which to obtain 30 hours of continuing education credit.  Zeroing out all previous continuing education hours is a policy of the Texas Department of State Health Services, and TACA and its members must comply with it.

Also, old membership forms should be discarded immediately, as TACA membership categories and benefits have changed.  Regular individual memberships will now cost $50 per year (instead of $35), but will include certification at no extra charge, as well as other benefits. New membership forms may be obtained from this website.

Membership and certification have been combined into one service for eligible members.  Any officers that were certified with TACA, but were not members, must now join TACA by September 1, 2008 to maintain a certified status.  TACA will now certify members only.
